Reading Bid and Families of Schools Event

Good Morning All

The reading bid for Key Stage 2 was successfully submitted and we now have to wait until January to hear if it has been successful. We think we have planned some great work and as a result are pushing ahead with preparations.

As you know I have set myself the challenge of getting ALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS in the city at at THE FAMILIES OF SCHOOLS EVENT November 23rd at Birmingham City Football Club. A lot of exciting information about school improvement will be shared with you so if you’re not there its so difficult to make sure you all hear about events you may want to participate in as well as using this event to find you with any support we need.
If you put in an expression of interest to be part of the reading bid you really need to attend. I also need all schools with ANY capacity to support other schools to have a representative at this event. I need around 50 schools who can provide partnering support through the bid as well as some NLEs who can be involved.
So far, 89 schools have booked on, and we have a target of 300. Please will you support this event; I honestly believe every school will benefit and … ITS FREE!

I hope by next week I can say we are at 200, I want the event to be a massive FAMILY event.  Please tell your friends!!!
