Good morning everyone,

I trust you had a good weekend. A few updates from me this week.

I would like to draw your attention to the link below. There is match funding available for all key stages EYFS-KS4 for a wide range of reading books.

BookLife’s match funding scheme now available for all UK schools

For those reading leaders in the SSIF2 project we have a reading leader day planned for Tuesday 13th November at the mac. If your reading leader in SSIF2 hasn’t booked their place already, please follow the link below to ensure you get a place.

Last week I met with Rosina Alyas, Deputy Headteacher at Hall Green Infant School, who has been part of a 3-year project on Mathematical Reasoning for Year 2 teachers. The EEF are already studying the impact and earlier signs are extremely positive with months of gains being made over a 12-week period. We are planning on running the training in December to ensure delivery of the programme in Spring. The training offer and overall cost is totally amazing…don’t miss out! Please read the attached flyer by clicking the link below to see what I mean!

We have now worked out a clear offer to support Secondary schools with reading and academic language and details of these will be sent out to interested schools. If you would like to register your interest and haven’t already done so, please contact Lindsey Hammond: lindsey.hammond@bep.education

That’s all from me for this week. Please all enjoy a well earned half-term and I look forward to seeing many of you at our events in the coming weeks.

In the mean time you know where we are if you need anything at all.

My very best wishes to you all
